Homeowners' Association Matters

Our attorneys have handled a diverse set of matters related to homeowners’ associations. We create, draft, amend and file deed restrictions for developers and associations; create and represent homeowners’ associations on both business matters, transactions and litigation, and occasionally as outside general counsel. We represent associations and property owners on deed restriction and architectural control committee issues and disputes; advise boards of directors; handle community elections disputes; consult for HOAs related to officer and director law and litigation, prepare organization documents and secretary of state filings; work with HOAs on insurance claims; prepare meeting minutes and consult with HOAs about record keeping and record requests; and mediate, litigate and arbitrate a variety of owner/developer/association disputes.
